Visual Organization

Windows Tree and List views allow you to organize your language learning Library any way you like. Locate what you wish to study instantly, without endlessly searching a textbook for a forgotten sentence.

Your Libraries can be as simple as a single group of podcasts, or the entire coursework from a semester at a foreign language school.

Templates

Templates provide reusable folder structures to group your learning materials in whatever way best suits your learning, from a simple single folder collection of podcasts, to an entire set of textbooks, lesson by lesson.

After selecting or creating a template, creating a study structure is as simple as single mouse click.

You can even create an entire range of lessons from the template dialog.

Audio Segment Creation

The powerful Segment Creator allows you to create 'segments' of just the portion of audio you wish to listen to. No more rewinding, fast forwarding or endless searching audio files.

Just set the start and endpoints and turn entire conversations into individual listening components.

Slow down or speed up your segment playback, and even set a repetition count to listen to the same audio multiple times. Your listening comprehension will skyrocket!

Slide
Issue Builder

Track your problem areas by creating specific Issues. You may add any combination of segments or vocabulary to an issue, and Issue categories are fully searchable.

Create multiple issues for grammar, vocabulary review and any audio/video segment. You may assign the same elements to multiple Issues, creating multiple paths for reviewing your trouble spots.

Slide
Dictionaries

Dictionaries are built automatically any time you add a vocabulary list, and are fully seachable. You may also import dictionaries created from other sources.

Slide
Japanese Support

If Japanese is your area of study, you may optionally download the exhaustive Japanese dictionary created by Jim Breen and maintained at Monash University.

(This a separate download file available from Monash University )

Kanji

You may also use the Kanji dictionary to search for items containing the kanji you wish to review.

Learning Details

The learning materials in your collections can contain transcriptions, translations and even freestyle text notes. Set tags to mark common grammar and vocabulary items for quick searches.

Spaced Repetition (SRS)

Spaced Repetition drills are another powerful feature built into Language Leap. With SRS, you identify your level of comprehension based on a range from 1 to 5. Depending on your comprehension level, future reviews focus on the items you have difficulty with, and not the items you have mastered.
